I keep this world from dragging me down, and I stand my ground.
This weekend is 2/3 over!! Too bad tomorrow's going to be the worst day out of all 3 of them.
Friday was shortened periods, which was pretty chill. It was weird though, cuz I was outside playing kickball during gym and all of a sudden I head Blacktop and I was like....alright... Then we had the pep rally, which was interesting, because Pete doesn't realize that flagpoles can really hurt people if you manage to get hit with them, and that angry vice principal lady doesn't realize that we are allowed to perform too. So that turned out interesting, and ended up in a lot of yelling and stuff. But we had a social breakthrough with Jess because it was her idea to join in the student-teacher macarena!! Props to Jessica!! Then we got changed and it was really weird walking around the school in our uniforms when normal people were still in class and about the hallways, and we're just walking around in these ginormous palazzo pants. Hmm. Then we waited around for a long time and waited more after we got to town, then the parade was like two seconds (BUT LOTS OF COOL PEOPLE WERE THERE!!) and we marched back to school (pointless) and had water, and then we saw Kristen! and then we went and did pregame and stuff. Halftime was chill. Apparently my name gets announced over the loudspeakers now. Then there was a fight and the game was over, 41-0. SHUT OUT AT HOMECOMING!! yesss.
Then today was practice and stuff. We learned the salute for awards, which is apparently the same one as last year. At least it looks cool. Then I found out that my guard is stuck with peanut butter and jelly tomorrow because they ran out of meat and our orders weren't placed anyway. At least Danielle will be happy, I guess.
Tomorrow is going to be crazy. It's pretty much impossible to leave a parade at 1:30 and be out of Manhattan and back in New Jersey by 3:15 totally ready to go. The thing is, I really really hope we make it, because I really don't want to go exhibition, because that's stupid. We've been working too hard not to compete tomorrow.
I want to do something with people who aren't in band. :D
