MOST FITS CAUSED BY A TV SHOW
In December, 1997, more than 700 children in Japan were rushed to the hospital when an episode of an animated series based on the Nintendo game Pokemon triggered convulsions. A total of 208 people from the age 3 and upward were hospitalized wih the epilepsy-type symptoms. An exlosion scene followed by five seconds of red lights flashing from the eyes of a rat-like character called Pikachu was said by experts to be to blame for causing the fits.
