This morning I woke up to get ready for work and I went to let my little min pin Leland out into the backyard to take his morning pee when in the blink of an eye chaos erupted. We have these two vicious neighbor dogs who live behind us at the top of an embankment. They are truly evil and have previously bitten two of our CCI dogs. After that they built a small wooden divider in addition to the wrought-iron fence already in place. However, it only came up to about knee level which allowed just enough room for those fucking evil dogs to still fit their head over it. Leland was saying hello to his next door neighbor dog friend when the horrific duo starting barking, enticing him to come up and visit. To Leland, any bark is a "let's play" bark. In a matter of about 3 seconds I hear this earth-shattering scream from my baby and I starting running up to him fearing the worst. I get up their to find that Leland was standing up against the divider with his paws on top and one of those fuckers bit his paw and DE-GLOVED him!! OH MY FUCKKKK. I could see the tendons and bones of his paw as the skin was flapping off. I starting screaming and crying bloody murder and the owner of the dogs came out into her backyard with a calm, "Oh did your dog get bitten?" UH YEAH your vicious and malicious fucking dog has bitten his 3rd victim. Surprised?
I feel like a god damn idiot for letting him go off on his own but then when I think about it, why the hell should I? It's my backyard and I should feel comfortable allowing my dog to run free throughout it. My dog isn't the dangerous attacker, he should be allowed to go up to the fence. Their dogs are the one's that should be restrained from making it to the fence, because they are the ones that fucking bite. Right??
So I am here at work now while Leland is getting his 954 dollars worth of surgery done on his poor paw and I'm wondering how the fuck I'm gunna pay for this shit. I have to apply for a doggy "carecredit" card so I can pay it off month by month. Initially they quoted me over 1,300 dollars with x-rays but I declined them. There's absolutely no way I could have swung that much. I just fucking hope that nothing was broken. That outrageous amount of money is enough to put me through 2 semesters worth of school plus textbooks! FUCK ME.
I called the Temecula City Hall who then forwarded me to AFV and they said that I'm required by law to tell them where they live so they can have the dog quarantined. Now of course I don't want to do this but these dogs truly have had enough chances. My mom let it go when the labs were bitten but now I won't fucking stand for it. My dad went over to talk with her without informing me and he said she offered to pay 300 dollars of it...next week. Said she's strapped for money. WHO THE FUCK ISN'T? I'm a 20 year old paying my way through school and you're a grown ass woman, should I feel sympathy for you? Who's dog was attacked and bleeding all over my shirt? NOT YOURS. 300 dollars isn't even close to half of it.
Please anyone...advice?
