Dear Santa aka Dad,

I believe that Christmas is not a holiday of contest on who spends the most money, or buys the best presents, but a holiday that people should appreciate and remember that it is about giving, regardless of whether or not they believe in God, Jesus, or anything that Christmas is religiously about. I think that Christmas is the time when you wake up in your pajamas, lie around the house all day, and spend time with the people that you love. Getting new things is nice, don’t get me wrong, but if you have all of those things, what would make you feel good about yourself if you didn’t have anything or anyone to show for it? What do we need things for anyway? Seeing all of these people put up Christmas lights and fancy decorations, and making these elaborate trees come to life, and making and spending so much time on cookies, doesn’t really have a point if you do not have anyone to sit back and admire them with you. I guess what I am trying to say is, people should keep the spirit of Christmas in their hearts, and not coming from their wallets.

But, I guess if you would like to get me presents, I would appreciate it. Here is a list of things that I would not mind getting:

1.anything from Delias.com, Threadless.com, or any kind of clothes for that matter.
2.
this shirt.
3.new makeup
4.a scarf and mitten/glove set.
5.a new bed spread.
6.a trip upstate
7.some money to save for college, car insurance, expenses that my dad shouldn’t have to pay for me.
8.more time to spend with people that I love.
9.a better job, maybe?
10.some more tolerance for people and school work.
11.my dad’s health and relaxation.
12.The following CDs (if you can find them in vinyl, sweet!):
“Stay as you are”- Saves the Day
“Stations of the Crass”- Crass
“Anything but the truth”- The Honorary Title
Any Blood Brothers CDs on 7” or 12” vinyl
Love,
Jesi Miller
