(I am finally able to sneak enough time on a school computer to type up one of my themes. yay!)
A note to
mortenavida I'm very much considering doing NaNoWriMo this year, and signed up yesterday. (I can't comment on your post, our school has a nasty feature called sonicwall...grrr.)
Anyway...
Title: A Shiny Kumagorou Day
Author:
yuko_hakubiTheme: Date 3/50
Warnings: Shounen ai, fluff
Summary: Michael muses on one of the things that Ryuichi and K did when he was a child.
The words 'good father' and 'Ryuichi Sakuma' don't really seem to go together, do they? That's what I thought, at least while I was a child. Even though I knew from personal experience that Ryuichi is an *incredibly* devoted father, even to me, the 'test tube' baby of his lover. (It should be said here and now that my parents' marriage, though legal, was a complete and utter sham used to keep at least part of their lives private.)
Every year, Ryuichi had this thing that we would all do together. 'A Shiny Kumagorou Day' for daddies and children, as he put it. More or less, a father-child date. Ryuichi and his two (yes, I said TWO) daughters, Michiko and Natsume, and Dad and me. It was all fun, without having to whine to the two about being too mushy. Some sort of haunted house ended it one year, I remember, and Ryuichi clung to Dad the entire way home, bawling like a baby. He hated scary things in any form...at least until the day that Michiko-chan started dating.
After we got too old, my dad continued to take Ryuichi on those Shiny Kumagorou Days, for their anniversary and stuff like that. But now, the only one who cares to remember them other than me is Kumagorou himself, with his shiny red bowtie.
I have no idea how I called it a Shiny Kumagorou Day, but that's how it came out. I hope to post the other two themes tomorrow, if I don't have homework.
