Summary: Its been 5 years since his death.
He had been here for well over 2 hours, simply praying, sending thoughts of love to his beloved. The wind in the cemetery had begun to pick up, sending autumn leafs flying through the air. A hand came to rest on his shoulder, oh…he forgot he was here too, mourning his own loss.
“Sakano…..”
“I know…”
Sakano reached a hand back and placed it over the one resting on his shoulder. “I know, we need to get going, it’s just so hard to leave him that’s all”
“It’s been 5 years now”
Tears began to fill Sakanos eyes, silently steaming down his cheeks. “I know, and even after these 5 years I’ve never stopped loving him, I never will” He stood up and turned to face his lover, whose eyes were also slightly red and puffy. He had been crying again too.
“You need to be strong…we both need to be…for them”
Sakano fell into his lovers embrace and sobbed gently, the images from that fateful day replaying over in his mind.

The stage was set and the fan girls were beginning to filter into the stadium. This was to be Bad Lucks biggest concert in all their years. The band had finally hit it big and achieved stardom greater than that of Nittle Grasper. The high the band was experiencing was infectious and Sakano could feel himself getting excited with each passing second. Warm strong arms wrapped around his waist and held him tight. “Hmmm when this concert is over I’m going to take you back to the hotel and work all the excitement out of you, your practically bouncing my love”
Sakano leaned back against Ks chest and turned his head to give his American lover a kiss. He could tell K was excited about this too, his eyes were sparkling and the grin on his face was stretched to nearly twice its normal size. “I have something important I need to talk to you about too, don’t worry it’s nothing bad but it is important”
Finally it was time for the band to go out on stage, the lights in the audience dimmed and the stage lights brightened. Three figures ran out onto the stage, whopping and cheering along with the cries of delight from the vast sea of fans. Sakano and K, along with some of the other stagehands cheered along with them.
The concert was in full swing when the lights were suddenly blacked out and the sound cut off. Sakanos eyes widened in alarm, what a shitty time for a power cut. The producer felt the blonde behind him stiffen before he was thrown to one side.
“GET THE BAND OFF STAGE NOW!!” K hollered and bolted out along with the other security guards to help lead the stars offstage.
3 gun shots rang through the air.
2 bodies fell to the floor.
Just as suddenly as before, the lights were switched back on. Sakano stood there stunned by the sight in front of him. There were screams of terror, people pushing past him to get to the injured. Sakano could only stare.
“Claude…..” He murmured. Suddenly it hit him and he dashed out onto the stage, pushing people aside to make way to his fallen lover. “CLAUDE!” Sakano fell to his knees in front of the manager, the bullet wound in his chest bleeding furiously. Everything around him was starting to get fuzzy and he was only vaguely aware of the paramedics arriving before blacking out entirely.
The producer woke up and slowly cracked open his eyes. Someone was smoothing the hair back out of his face and holding onto his hand. “Claude?” he asked in a strained voice, trying to blink away the fuzziness in his eyes. “It’s me Sakano-san, its Suguru”. Sakano tried to sit up but couldn’t move, the pounding ache in his head prevented him from doing so. “Where’s K?” he asked. The hand stilled its movement in his hair and the one in his hand tightened.
“K-San didn’t make it. He died before he arrived at the hospital”

That day had been a huge loss to both Sakano and the music community. Claude K Winchester and Shuichi Shindo, both gunned down at the biggest music concert in Japanese history. Hiro had escaped with only a minor wound in his leg and Suguru suffered only severe shock and depression from the event, the bullet intended for him was taken by K. Before he was released from the hospital, Sakano was given a small bag holding the few items in Ks possession at the time he was taken in. It included a watch, which was stored away safely. A gun, which Sakano had tried to turn on himself so many times he lost count. 2 plane tickets, both were for a flight to Canada. The final item took Sakanos breath away and brought about a fresh wave of tears and torment, the final item was a small black velvet box. Inside was a wide platinum band inscribed with the words “Forever yours. Claude”
The ring had never left his ring finger since that day, He point blank refused to take it off.
Sakano pulled back from his lovers embrace and smiled up at him gently. He was gifted with a rarely seen smile in return.
Yuki understood.
Just like Sakano understood how his love for Shuichi would never die.
The tragedy had brought them both together, and they were both very much in love. But the love of the ones they lost still burned stronger and would most probably never die.
Sakano slipped his hand into Yuki's and turned to walk down the small gravel path leading to the cemetery entrance, where Michael stood waiting with the car.
“Lets go home Eiri.”
