Nothing but an empty soul,
faking a smile in the wake.
Her emotions finally got to her
she's drowning in a lake.
A lake of sorrow and tears,
hoping to find a refuge somehow.
Never knowing what the end might be,
she's completely sold out.
She's just a dumb, young girl,
with the mind of an adult.
She's already dealt with so much,
just contempating this sorrowful note.
Always wanting more,
nothing is ever great.
No feelings left inside,
maybe she needs a break.
But a break isn't what she wants,
she wants to keep trying.
The end is drawing closer,
in her heart she's dying.
She's got to keep on holding on,
it'll pay off in the end.
Can you look me in the eyes,
and say that i'm your friend?
