I did not, in fact, disappear. Things have just been hectic and I haven't had time to really talk to people.
I've been doing a lot of thinking; evaluating how I want to deal with people and the situations in my life. I know there are some people that I'm not interesting in speaking to anymore, but for that who cares?
Last weekend Casey and I went on a rock scramble and hike in Mohunk Mountain. It was amazing, challenging and a great bonding experience. Nothing says "We're together" like having someone grab your hand and help you over a crevice that will likely break your neck if you fall. I enjoyed every minute of my time in upstate New York and it was so worth the ride up there.
Things are calming down I guess. We finally have new floors in the apartment after they were damaged badly by a flood. It's so much nicer to walk on a regular floor than to feel the hardwood bowing underneath you with every step you take.
I guess my next step in life is for us to get a better apartment somewhere that isn't the Bronx, for me to go back to school part-time (Casey is HUGE on this - he really wants me to get my ass back to college) and just keep my head above the water. A day at a time. It's nice to be pushed to go back to school, finish getting my license (he makes me drive a lot) and just improve myself. I'm not saying he's holding my hand through the whole thing; he's nudging me in the right direction and making sure I'm making the right steps at the right time. I'm happy.
Holy shit I'm happy.
