Hehe, went karaoke for the first time in ages. Reminded me forcefully that I cannot and will never be able to sing! Chinese, Manderin, English...doesn't matter what language my singing stinks to the high heavens!
Lucky for me all the people I went with can't sing either so it was all a huge laugh. Sammeth commented that we really shouldn't have wasted so much money when blatantly none of us could sing in key. I quote: "we might as well sit on a fence and yowl, at least we get to annoy neighbors and it's free!"
And so the rest of the singing hours went. I use the word 'singing' rather loosely here. It was more like shouting or talking into the mic or (in Joel's case) eating the mic. Don't ask, because I didn't understand when he tried to explain *^-^*"
The guys wanted to go ice skating after, but I was quick to say no coz I'm not very good at that either!!! I can rollerblade just fine and ppl say it's almost exactly the same but it so isn't! Still, I can just about pretend that I can skate well enough so I'm not the one they leave stranded in the middle of the rink! The secret is...when no one is looking then hold onto the rim for dear life and then quickly let go and freeskate whenever someone you know is looking! After you can skate/slide/fall back onto the rim and no one will know!!! Devious isn't it?
We ended up going bowling and I hit 4 strikes in a row!!! Okay, so it was out of sheer luck but I'm not gonna complain!
*Yawn* Am tired.
I bought Resident Evil 4 on Saturday. Not too bad, addictive in a zombie killing way but now I'm stuck on one of those stupid puzzles that don't make sense until after it's cracked. I'm tempted to just cheat and look up the solution on the net. The game is pretty tough at least for me. They give me like one bullet per ten zombies so I'm constantly left with a knife or running like hell, especially when one of those zombies chase me with a chainsaw. The first time when I ran out of ammo and it was too close for me to dodge I thought that it was just gonna put Leon's health in the red but hell no! It just mowed and literally shaved his head off!!! I sat there gobsmacked and then I couldn't stop laughing for some reason. Actually, the reason was coz I hadn't saved for like an hour so there was a lot to be redone :(
Went shopping on Sunday. There's no denying that xmas is just around the corner because I got trampled on and mowed over by hoards of angry shoppers. Scary. All inhibition just flies out of the window and it's all about life or death over a scarf or a pair of shoesies.
Loving my reading week at the mo. I haven't done any work whatsoever, bad bad bad! It's just a nice break away from uni/house/mess/lectures etc etc etc. Tis cool to see ppl again and I get to go out!!! YAY! Get to break free from a self imposed prison at uni!
All the fun finished today tho coz tomolo I have to have a mini op. Wisdom teeth removal. Yea yea, I know I've been harping on about them for ages but it seems like it's finally gonna happen. Shit. I'm gona go along and see if I can wheedle out of getting it done. Dunno, maybe beg for him to be merciful and allow my teeth. Honestly, is it necessary to remove all three in one go? I mean ignore the fact that it's logical coz my mouth isn't big enuff. Ignore it. I wanna grow a bigger mouth to accomodate them! Mind over matter...right I'm just getting desperate now.
ai...I miss my sis. I called her today. Eeeeekkk...expensive phonebill to HK. She's having sooo much fun!! I wanna be there. She's going Japan with Danny in a few days after their trailwalker hike. I'll ask her to take loadsa photos of the view coz the stuff u see hiking in HK is amazing! Did I mention that it's a 36 hr hike???? Crazy isn't it? I did a 6 hr one and I was ready to die. Too hardcore for me, I'll stick to that mini hill in Egham.
