Those were very interesting things to see and hear on those devices, eh? I wonder how many of you are prepared to take the frightening images and garbled words at face value. I...I don't know. My function was solely the collection and objective analysis of data. Emotion was unnecessary and counter-productive.

Possibly. However, allow me to suggest an additional goal; focus exclusively on...events, like what is plaguing everyone now. The routine and habits of this place appears to fluctuate only during such periods. Documentation and evaluation of these anomalies would surely prove invaluable, both to your superiors and the citizenry here, should you wish to assist them.

Perhaps such an act could even uncover the chinks in the armor of this town and leave it vulnerable.

This is a goal that is very similar to my former function, and one that may contribute to it should I return. Information on "Mayfield" may prove valuable to my superiors. This appears to be an excellent secondary function.

[He seems to think about it a moment.] I believe in this case that the sharing of information with those whose goal is also to escape Mayfield would be the most beneficial course. Should I succeed in returning home, any information that I have acquired will be considered Top Secret and only available to those with proper security clearance.
