Gay Superhero team
The Fop: You know the type: modeled after the 17th or 18th (or any era, I suppose) spoiled French nobility. Very feminine, both a bitch AND an asshole, believes the world revolves around him and the other socially elite. While he actually does have a superpower or two, he doesn't like to use them as they are physical and thus demeaning to a person of his station in life. He's pretty much your basic tank; superstrong and supertough. His main function in the team however is that of a financial backer. Because of his large bank account(s), the team tolerates him -- barely. And also, he's the only male member of the team that isn't gay.
Because I like irony.
Pretty Boy: He's so damn fine it hurts your eyes. Well, not quite. Instead, anyone that looks at him, smells him, hears his voice, etcetera falls in love with him, with varying degrees of love/idolization correlating to how much stimuli is received. He also has a large streak of angst and self-loathing. I'm thinking there's some backstory where someone subjected to his power either killed themself or others or both. Mmm, emo guilt for being beautiful. So very, very emo; it's delicious. I'll have fan girls out the wazoo.
The Nerd: Very skinny, glasses, smart -- but his superpowers rival Superman's. I know his powers are a bit redundant with the Fop, but the Nerd will actually use his. Plus, I'm going to go ahead and give the Nerd flight. Why not, after all. I shall endevour to make sure that the Nerd NEVER gets much muscle mass though. I want him to stay scrawny forever; it makes it more amusing and less of a cliche.
The Hag: A girl about 18 years old? Very powerful telepath, but she's got so many outside thoughts running through her head that they interfere with some of her basic mental functions -- like talking. So she usually has to resort to sending lewd and kinky images into her teammates' minds. She's the only female of the team, and the second of the 2 straight people.
next time: the Black Swan, Plant Guy, the Faerie, and some random magician guy. I'll work on it.
