Wake up call
I had been trying to force myself to wake up off-and-on for 2 hours or so, but the trick that finally did it was a trivial character in a murder-mystery dream making up a dream-French song about a guy that we had found dead but then found again later hanging from the ceiling. I mean, there was even a slow dream-camera close up of him as he continued to sing it. When a dream starts trying to make a silly scene more dramatic through camera techniques, apparently my subconscious mind figures it's time to just call it quits.
