Rant #1
I’m drowning in school work and what’s killing me is that I will use absolutely nothing from I’m learning right now in real life.
Rant #2
I bought a new book about Vlad. Didn’t read it…don’t know when I’ll read it since I’m still battling with a book about the Triads (from which I can only read when I am on my way to hell). However, my cousin told me something from the Vlad book that led me to believe that the book is fiction (bad written fiction even… a.k.a Vlad rapes Elisabeth Bathory [she was born 100 and something years after his death])
Rant #3 - The j-music rant (the longest rant)
Okay I had songs from Dir en grey (I think I got them from
herit O.o”) on my computer for over a year and I’ve never listened to them. Now I’m torturing my neighbors with this band and Miyavi.
The first song I listened (when I discovered the fact that I like Dir En Grey) was “Ain’t afraid to die” and felt sad and when I saw the clip I cried. A week later I found the translation for the song…and read it while listening to the song and cried some more (I blame PMS for this).
Rant #3 part1.1 - Shinya
I admit that at first I was under the impression that the band had a girl for a drummer (-cough- Don’t stone me to death… Shinya is very feminine admit it. If what I’ve heard is right even Die thought Shinya was a girl at first), but now I know better. I’m still trying to convince my dear beloved mother that Shinya is a boy… (along with the rest of my family and friends who don’t know this band too well).
I wonder how his name spells in kanji, because if I remember correctly ‘Shi’ means death in Japanese.
Rant #3 part1.2 - Die
I like his hair. I want to kick him because he usually picks on Shinya -Mother Mode activated- but I still love his hair. And…that’s all the rant about Die.
Rant #3 part1.3 - Kaoru and Toshyia
If I heard correctly Kaoru is the leader of the band. In some pics I can’t tell Kaoru and Toshyia apart… Kaoru scares me when he is serious and I think Toshyia is Shinya’s sister -coughs- I mean brother. Toshyia is feminine too, but not as feminine as Shinya (and that is why my mom believed me when I told her Toshyia is a boy).
Rant #3 part1.4 - Kyo
The warumono (hope this is the word) of the band. Well if he wanted to scare people he failed when it came to me. Kaoru scares me, not Kyo.
I know he hates to be called “kawaii” and addressed “Kyo-chan”, but if I ever meet him I think I would say “Ah! I know you… You are Kawaii Kyo-chan from Dir En Grey!” and then probably die but heck… I would just have to say those two words in front of him. He is the only one my mom recognized as a boy…a shrimp boy -headdesk- She noticed that he was shorter then the rest of the band and for a while I was sure that they were giants and he was the only one with a normal height. Actually I can picture him telling the guys when they pick on him something like “I am not short! You guys are just abnormally tall.”
Okay now seriously… If I ever meet them it will probably take me a while to realize that I’m talking to Dir en Grey because I am an airhead. And when I would realize that, I would probably turn lobstery-red, bow like a moron, apologize and address them with “-sama” at the end of their names and then bow some more. That or I would probably congratulate them for how much they look like the guys from Dir En Grey and ask them how they managed to do that and if there is a con nearby and when Die would probably start to laugh his ass off I would die of embarrassment.
I would love to see these guys at a live concert (Not filmed, but actually be there). Everyone puts their heart, soul and blood (-points at Kyo-) when performing <3.
Rant #3 part 2 - Miyavi
I love this spazz. I found a song of his by accident on youtube while I was searching for a Witchblade AMV. The AMV that I found was made on Miyavi’s - Coo Quack Cluck -kukuru- and a week later I was murdering the song in my futile attempts to sing it (I can’t carry a tune to save my life so yeah imagine me trying to carry a tune in Japanese…)
Another week passed and I was killing “Senor Senora Senorita” while trying to dance on it (and I was advised to not quit my day job for dancing or singing).
There is this 6 minutes clip of him on youtube and he’s just sitting at a desk…okay he’s doing pretty much everything else but sitting. It doesn’t have subs but I watched all of it and died of laughter. Then I watched it again with a friend and she died of laughter and then both of us watched it again with some more friends and they died of laughter.
To this day we have no idea what he was saying (except that at some point he is apologizing).
Also “Oresama” (his movie) is the only movie that I fully watched without English subs even though it is in a language from which I only know a few words.
Rant #3 part 3 - Moon Child (Gackt’s movie)
I hate this movie because everyone dies at the end (sorry for the spoiler), but I love the song Gackt and Hyde sing (Also this is the only song I heard from Gackt or Hyde). My mom simply had to ruin a dramatic moment when she came into the room to drop me some cash and asked “Is that a girl? -Pointing at Gackt-“and when I corrected her and told her “she” was actually a “he” she asked me if I was sure about it.
A few days later she heard Gackt and Hyde’s song and thought it was Dir En Grey and again ruined a perfectly depressing moment (I was on the phone with some school friends and I was telling them what the song was about and we were EMOing over the fact that this is the last year of high-school) by asking me if ‘shrimp-boy’ (Kyo) changed his singing style.
