Warning! The next rant contains complete stupidity. Please avoid if you are not interested in Gackt, Josh Hartnett or Demi Moore.
Apparently Josh Hartnett, Demi Moore and Gackt Camui (<-- only reason I’ll be watching the movie) are filming in Romania. The movie is called “Bunraku” and it’s about a drifter searching for revenge and so on and so forth. I don’t want to rant about the movie, I want to rant about the way I found out about this (to me it was really funny and it proved to me just how much of an air head [idiot] I really am).
I was having coffee with a friend and talking about unimportant stuff (trying to ignore the fact that we have 6 weeks left until the baccalaureate) and we somehow ended up talking about actors and singers. I mentioned that one of the singers I like (Gackt) was filming a movie together with an American actor (my words were something like “[…] with some big shot from Hollywood… But I don’t know his name”.) My friend asked me the name of the movie and I said “Bu-something. Donno, it has a strange name”. Now this is where our stupidity started… This friend is a fan of Josh Hartnett and she mentioned that Josh Hartnett was filming a movie with a strange name together with Demi Moore and “some Japanese or Chinese dude” at Buftea (20 kilometers outside of Bucharest) and how excited she was about the possibility of getting a glance of Mr. Hartnett. Now if we had our brains with us it would have clicked by then, but our brains decided to take a vacation away from us (and from the baccalaureate) so we went to the next subject. I put two and two together when I was returning home and I was reading a newspaper over someone’s shoulder. I wish I could have seen my face when I finished that small article about “Bunraku”! Anyway… when I got home I called my friend and asked her if she remembers the Japanese dude’s name. There was a rather long silence and then she made the statement of the year: “Dude… We are complete idiots.”
