eu vs jp zukan

Apr 19, 2012 11:15

I'm 100% sure that most EU zukan released are regular matte finish, at least up to EU set 4. I know this since I've bought all but set 4, and edit: set 7 (see below) was the one people started having issues with due to the plastic change. Speaking of set 5, I can't find set lists past set 4, and the only set lists for the EU zukan are on zukanranger :o
anyway, I'm also willing to bet that 50% of umbreon/espeon sets floating around right now are EU versions, since set 1 contained that pair (it was why I bought so many capsules, though I didn't get lucky).

now back to finishing my mail. running out of tape for packages aaaaaahhhhhhaskjahalkd

edit: Found set lists!

Pokemon Evolution 6: Dialga Edition contains:
Chimchar line
Elekid line (speaking of which, does anyone have a spare elekid piece? mine's gone...)
Budew / Roselia
Buneary line
Eevee / Leafeon / Glaceon
Dialga

Pokemon Evolution 7: Giratina Edition contains:
***This set switched to glossy plastic!!!***
Shaymin
Swinub line
Mamoswine
Gligar line
Shieldon line
Origin Giratina

Pokemon Evolution 8: Regigigas Edition contains:
***This set has glossy plastic!!!***
Mareep line
Tangela line
Rotom / Frost Rotom (does not contain Fan Rotom)
Bidoof line (does not contain Pachirisu)
Misdreavus line (does not contain Shuckle)
Regigigas

Other sets are the Blockbuster zukan (two sets), MD2 buildables, and Legendary figures, but all of these are regular (matte) plastic. The legendary figures are also not zukan, as they are not 1/40 scale, and the Blockbuster sets are also not at 1/40 scale. I don't think any other sets have been released, but I'm not sure if the Tomy Yujin EU website is up to date.
