This is beautiful ;; I love how myths can change and be replaced and this story sadly reminded me of the murder of Matthew Shepard and the song by Suzzy and Maggie Roche. So tragic; so infuriating, kind of like the political situation of the Hunger Games. I positively love the way you ended with the sansuyu tree and the two dead boys finally getting the respect they deserved. Because someone has to remember. Like the end of Mockingjay, and the book of the fallen. If the Hanging Tree was about a murderer, then the sansuyu tree was about two victims. But in the end we are all bones, flakes of ash to darken the sky. Unless ~

i'm a fan of Hunger Games, the book, mainly
and after i watch Mockingjay i just thought it would be nice to read a kaisoo fic Hunger Games au as Finnick or Annie, or Katniss and Peeta. And then i found this, so beautiful i don't mind my heart aching ㅠ.ㅠ
