The Wind and The Rain
It never warmed up enough to go swimming yesterday. Phooey. Wound up taking mom's car to get the oil changed and the tires checked instead. Hung out at home most of the day watching DVDs. Stevie sprang for Star Wars Episodes IV-VI boxed set, so I sat on the couch and watched all three of 'em yesterday. Took almost the whole day. They stuck a hologram of the the guy who played Anakin in the new movies into the last scene of Return of the Jedi next to Alec Guiness and Yoda in place of the original hologram of the guy that played Face of Vader in the old movie. What the fuck?? WHAT THE FUCK!! I found myself getting genuinely pissed about this switcheroo. I actually liked Episode III despite the mean things that lydiere said about it (wink), but that little twerp just SUCKED. I don't remeber who it was, but some critic said that calling him wooden is an insult to puppets. I concur. To have to deal with him again at the end of ROTJ is just wrong. Now if they'd had the Yoda hologram kick him in the shins, that would have been cool.
Its cold and rainy today and everyone but me is at work, which reminded me a lot of last summer. I went back and re-read a bunch of entries from this time last year. I've been thinking a lot about the things that have changed and the things that haven't changed. The stuff about Wendy just seems ridiculous in hindsight. It even took me a minute to even remember who she was.
In other news:
I will congratulations scrunchions on shaking Russell Crowe's hand even though I think he's a tool a crappy actor, and an even worse musician. Frankly, I think Russell Crowe should feel honored that you shook his hand, but what do I know.
If you're into praying, go ahead and put in a good word for magicalyak who is off somewhere in Mexico learning Spanish and hopefully doing some good works around the neighborhood.
I would say something nice aboutfredd9 but I'm pissed at her for being lazy and stubborn about her foot. If your toes heal crooked and you wind up with arthritis in your later years, you'll get no sympathy from me.
