ALL MY DRAMA FEELS.

It seems everyone and their mom is watching The Moon that Embraces the Sun or Shut Up! Flower Boy Band (at least on tumblr) and for good reason. That's some good shit. I'm really sticking to them as they air, mostly because tumblr is spoiler central, but also because it reminds me of watching actual television and anxiously waiting a new episode to air.

But onto the feels. I miss the child/young actor cast of Moon/Sun so much, it's like Kim Tak Gu all over again, but I've started realizing that any drama where a child/young actor is kind of the main means they'll eventually grow up in around 10 episodes to less satisfying adults. Not that I don't like the older cast, but there's something about seeing such strong emotion and acting from kids that sticks to me a lot more. Historical dramas aren't really my thing, but I really do love the visual qualities they have and this is no different. I like the storyline as well, it's something that frustrates me and something I can relate to, in a way, so I like it.

Lee Minki and his flawless interpretation of a legendary, crazy and creepy stalker need to get back on this drama like now. But, sadly, he wont because he was cameo, which is what I knew when I started watching, but I didn't expect the people running the show to actual make him leave that big of an impact on viewers. That said, I think the other characters are definitely worth their weight. I like the idea of Jihyuk honoring Byunghee's memory by participating in that festival and I also like the....feeling that Byunghee was the one that kept the group together, a common thread, and now they all have to rally around Jihyuk as the new leader. Even though Hajin, Kyungjong and Do-Il are more supporting characters, their scenes together are really funny and kind of break up the serious feels in the drama. I guess Hyunsoo's going to become the...Devil's Advocate? We don't see much of him and even when he's there he doesn't say much, but I like his character. Surprisingly, I like Suah. Usually, female love interests are infuriating, especially when they're involved in some sort of love triangle, but I think they're handling her really well. Oh, Shilba and PyoJoo are such dicks, just saying.

Lastly, I just watched the first episode of Flower Boy Ramyun Shop and...I like it. It'll probably be my time killer drama for when I've nothing to watch, but I don't particularly mind.

drama, the moon that embraces the sun, flower boy ramyun shop, shut up! flower boy band
