Free awesomeness
This is to everyone who will read this, because I know all of you and you will all like this.
If you have iTunes, go to the iTunes store and go all the way to the bottom. There is a little section labeled "Free on iTunes". They are giving away an audiobook called The Areas of My Expertise by John Hodgman. Get it. It's 3 tracks, a total of 6 hours, and it is wonderful.
If you don't know John Hodgman, he's a regular contributor to "The Daily Show" and "This American Life" as well as the nerdy PC guy from the Mac commercials. This book is supposed to be an almanac, but the facts are almost entirely made up by him. There are sections on various forms of divination, an extended section on "The Hobo Wars", and a hilarious bit with facts about all 51 states (the 51st being the oft-forgotten "Ar" or "Ho-hawk", a floating bauxite cloud fortress populated by eagle-men). Just brilliant stuff. Couldn't recommend it more.
Also, if you do the podcast thing, "This American Life" is now podcasting. Sooooo happy.
