I'm in the planning stages of composing "Suckitude 2", my new playlist in honor of the end of Justice League Unlimited. It's going to include many theme songs as well as other songs that remind me of the DCAU for whatever reason.
Bob Dole? I guess it fits. Since Bruce is rich he's probably a Republican. The best song I can think of as the DCAU heads into the sunset is Neil Young's "Long May You Ride."
Little known fact, Bob Dole grew up during the Depression, he created Batman to pay off his parents' gambling debts. Sadly, he never copyrighted the character, and Bob Kane stole it a few years later.
"Long May You Run", you mean? Never heard it, but I like the lyrics...
Considering how Bob Kane screwed Bill Finger, I'm not surprised. You're right, it's "Long May You Run." I came across the song because it was used in a fine documentary called "My Architect."
I can't really run to "Am I Blue", it's too slow and doesn't really pump me up. And the Adam West theme is both corny AND annoying. And even when it's not, I laugh and think about Homer.
George Reeves Superman is a good idea, I'm going to have to look for that.

How about the theme from Adam West's Batman? Or the George Reeve's Superman?
