The Complete (Known) Angel History
Hey guys! Your old pal 90'sCartoonMan here. My DVDs (Justice League, Batman Beyond, South Park, and Teen Titans) shall arrive in a matter of days, and I'm nervous. Every day the DVDs are out and I DON'T have them, is like being kicked square in the nuts by Daffy Dork.
In any event, I shall take a break from my whining (which, I assume, will resume tomorrow) to dig up an old Angel timelist I made. Jeb, if you're reading, sorry I haven't made any entries recently, work's been kicking my ass. And so has my internet service. Really more of a double team. Anyway, to whet everyone's whistle (and to prove that I am a geek with too much time on his hands), here's a history of Angel throughout the years (obviously spoilers for Buffy seasons 1-3 and the entire Angel series):
1727- The human, Liam, is born, presumably in Galway, Ireland
1753 - Liam meets Darla, who sires him in an alley. Liam rises, kills his
family, and becomes Angelus
1760 - Darla takes Angelus to meet The Master, which results in Darla and
Angelus going out on their own
1764 - Angelus and Darla kill Daniel Holtz's family and turn his daughter
1765 - Holtz pursues Darla and Angelus, Darla knocks out Angelus and escapes
1767 - Angelus and Darla, along with another vampire pair James and Elizabeth,
encounter Holtz
1771 - Holtz kidnaps Angelus and holds him hostage, Darla rescues him
1789 - Angelus briefly encounters The Beast
1860 - Angelus kills Drusilla's family, drives her mad, and sires her
1880 - Drusilla sires William (Spike), who then meets Angelus for the first
time
Late 1800's - William, now Spike, becomes a danger to Angelus, Darla, and
Drusilla, they are forced to hide
1894 - Angelus and Spike visit Italy and are caputred by The Immortal
1898 - Angelus feeds on a gypsy girl and is cursed with a soul
1900 - Angelus, Darla, Spike, and Drusilla visit China during the Boxer
Rebellion, Angelus refuses to feed on a baby, and leaves the group
1902 - Angelus arrives in Ellis Island by ship (now Angel?)
1920's - Angel fights the demon Boone
1920's - Angel saves a woman's dog
1943 - The US government forces Angel to go on a mission for them during WWII
1950's - Angel meets The Rat Pack in Las Vegas
1952 - Angel takes residency in the Hyperion Hotel in Los Angeles where he
allows a demon to take the paranoid guests who attack him
1967 - On May 1st, Angel attends the wedding of Elvis and Priscilla Presley
1967 - On September 11th, Angel witnesses the first taping of The Carol Burnett Show
1971 - In a diner, Angel feeds on a dying man
1991 - Angel lives on the streets of New York, feeding on rats
1996 - Angel meets Whistler, who takes him to Los Angeles, where he sees the
current Vampire Slayer, Buffy Summers
1997 - Angel moves to Sunnydale and meets Buffy, falling in love with her and
then revealing his vampiric nature to her. Angel meets Cordelia Chase.
Angel encounters Darla for the first time in nearly 100 years.
Angel assists Buffy in several missions.
1998 - Angel experiences a moment of true happiness with Buffy and becomes
Angelus. Angelus kills Jenny Calendar and tries to use Acathla to
destroy the world. Willow restores Angel's soul, Buffy sends him to
Hell. He returns later and is tormented by The First.
1999 - Angel meets Wesley Wyndam-Pryce. Faith poisions Angel, he must feed off
Buffy. In May, Angel and Buffy break up, he leaves Sunnydale and sets
up Angel Investigations in Los Angeles and hires Cordelia. Angel meets
Allan Francis Doyle, his link to the Powers That Be. Angel meets Kate
Lockley, Lindsey McDonald and encounters Wolfram and Hart for the first
time. Angel hires Wesley to work for him.
2000 - Angel has various adventures. He meets Charles Gunn (who he eventually
hires) and Lilah Morgan. Angel learns of the Shanshu Prophecy. Darla
is ressurected. Angel loses his office and moves into the Hyperion
Hotel. Angel meets Lorne.
2001 - Angel briefly breaks off ties with Angel Investigations. Angel meets
Harmony(?) and Winifred Burkle, who he rescues from Pylea brings back to
the Hyperion. Angel spends some time in a monastery mourning Buffy's
death. Darla gives birth to Angel's son, whom he names Connor. Holtz
returns
2002 - Angel falls in love with Cordelia, loses Connor, and has a falling out
with Wesley. Connor returns and traps Angel in a coffin for a few
months. Cordelia spends time as a higher being, and comes back as The
Rain of Fire begins.
2003 - Angel and friends battle the Beast, Angel briefly becomes Angelus again.
Cordelia gives birth to Jasmine, who is eventually defeated. Angel is
given control of the LA branch of Wolfram and Hart. Reality is warped
around Connor to give him a new life, Cordelia is stuck in a coma.
2004 - Cordelia wakes from her coma, gives Angel one last vision, and dies.
Angel loses Fred, who becomes Illyria. Angel joins the Circle of The
Black Thorn and signs away the Shanshu Prophecy. Angel and friends kill
every member of the Black Thorn and then confront the forces of Wolfram
and Hart.
Phew, that was tiring. But hopefully accurate. I did this a little over a year ago, and I know I glossed over some major details, but there you have it.
