I decided to take a 4-day weekend to straighten some things out, say my last goodbyes and whatnot, so here are a few brief observations:
Cut because of a picture.
I can't see this scene from The Breakup:
and NOT think of some sort of Loki/Thor reconciliation. I rented it and watched it the other day, and of course I had to watch "Hercules and the Twilight of the Gods" right after. Plus JLU's "The Balance" because it had Jason Bateman.
Anyway, yesterday was my day to do things I didn't get the chance to do.
Went to the Hoyt-Schemerhorn stop in Brooklyn where many subway scenes in the 80's were filmed. Oddly enough, when I was aboveground, I heard someone play "Bad" in their car.
I visited Ground Zero and St. Paul's Church (that place must be magic or something to have existed that long). I wonder what it's going to look like the next time I'm in New York.
I also went by Liz from 30 Rock's apartment building on Riverside Drive. I took a picture, and the guy inside came out and started screaming. I was afraid he was screaming at me, but he was trying to get the attention of the guy behind me.
Well, if I have the guts, tomorrow is going to be when I buy my plane ticket...yikes.
