Ye Olde Chopping Block (Redux)

Jul 04, 2009 15:25

I'm afriad it's that time again. Last Wednesdy was the first Wednesdy of the month. It's freakin' July! I'm going away to school next month! That scares me beyond belief, but if there's one thing I can get a handle on now, it's trimming my expenses by cutting down on comic books.

::grunt grunt PLOP::

This, my friends, is the chopping block. Whenever I realize that I buy too many monthlies, it's time to bust out my buddy here. Let's get to work, shall we?

Here are the rules. The ones in bold are the books I subscribe to, and since I just renewed them in May, I won't be dropping them anytime soon. The ones crossed off are those I've decided to drop in the past month or two.

Here we go...

Action Comics

Agents of Atlas

Amazing Spider-Man

Amazing Spider-Man Family

Angel

Astonishing X-Men

Avengers the Inititive

Batman

Batman and Robin

Batman Confidential

Batman: Streets of Gotham

Booster Gold

The Brave and the Bold

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Captain America

Daredevil

Dark Avengers

Detective Comics

Fables

Fantastic Four

The Flash

Gotham City Sirens

Green Arrow and Black Canary

Green Lantern

Green Lantern Corps

House of Mystery

Incredible Hercules

The Incredibles

The Invincible Iron Man

Jack of Fables

Jonah Hex

Justice League of America

Justice Society of America

New Avengers

Red Robin

Secret Six

Superman

Superman: World of New Krypton

Teen Titans

X-Men Legacy

I left off limited series (with the exception of the Superman maxi-series) and stuff that just doesn't come out (Gargoyles, All-Star Batman and Robin The Boy Wonder, etc.).

I'll tke suggestions, of course. That's almost 50 titles, and I want to go down to about 30. Here are the titles on notice:

Astonishing X-Men

Avengers the Inititive

The Brave and the Bold

Red Robin

This is like cutting off limb, I swear...
