Ramon, while having come to terms long ago with the thought of being a father, is still finding it hard to adapt to the wild changes his wife is going through. The mood swings were nearly comical sometimes in how sudden and violent they were, her self-esteem was becoming inversely proportionate to her waistline, and all of his time was spent mainly doting on her, seeing that she could no longer leave her bed.
A laptop had been given to her by S to keep her entertained and connected with the world. But after seeing all of her upset and moping on her journal about her weight gain, Ramon was starting to consider some drastic actions.
Ramon intends to take her laptop away, at least for a short while. He can't let her do this to herself, and maybe cutting her off from wallowing digitally in her pregnant misery will help stem it a little. He can at least hope.
