Ramon sighs, looking around at the Nexus and its residents as they stroll past. He wasn't keen on coming to this place, not with everything that's now at stake back home, and not with talk of Umbrella in the air once more. But then again, that's what's brought him here, and he couldn't think of a better place to meet this girl

He's attempting to relax again, easing the grip he has on his chair, taking a deep breath before continuing. It's been a long time since he'd thought about this entire incident he's going to address, and even still, after all this time, it sends him into a fit of anxiety. The prowling Verdugos pause, looking to ensure that Master's agitation isn't the fault of the woman he's talking to.
"But si. Us. Umbrella took interest in me about two years ago. Because of who I am, because of what I am. And because of what I carry." His pale hand goes to his chest. "I have a parasite inside of me called Las Plagas. I'm not certain if you're familiar with it or not." People's knowledge from all the variants of their worlds tend to be sort of hit and miss. And Las Plagas was subject to a government cover-up, after all.
"They-...He abducted me. Locked me up in one of their facilities for two weeks. And put me on the dissection table. They-...I'm sorry, I know this seems strange, but it's easier than talking about it."
As he says that, Ramon's undoing his cravat, and then unbuttoning his waistcoat and the shirt underneath it. Beneath his clothing, he soon reveals there's a grotesque scar across his chest and down the middle of his torso, making the shape of a Y. Like the kind morticians do on corpses during an autopsy.
Hastily buttoning up his clothing again after giving Rain that brief look at his scar, Ramon continues. "Two weeks on that table. Being treated like a piece of meat. Like a science experiment. A lab specimen. All the tests, the scalpels, the tubes, the chemicals, the needles, the viruses..."
He pauses again, perhaps to regain his composure, taking one more deep breath.
"So...si. That is what I meant when I claimed that I've seen plenty of what they're capable of. I've long since had a healthy amount of fear for Umbrella and...and the man who runs it ever since that incident. But also a good helping of unconditional hatred. And that is why I'm speaking here with you today."

"So...you're just kind of stuck here?... like me? Waiting for the opportune moment?" Rain asked a bit mellowed out by now. "I think you should meet Alice, I'll try to arrange a meeting for you both. But she'd want to hear this. Call it an experiment gone wrong, she's all they've got left now."
