Discussion of what I need to do regarding my inevitable court process and paying for my crimes, I suppose. Hear what it is you suggest happens at this point.
Well, one, because Claire suggested I talk to you. And two, I'm...really honestly not sure where to go from here, who Iturn myself into and who I need to talk to. You're my only link I have to hashing and figuring out all of this. I would appreciate your time and help with it.
I'll be handing you over to La Policía Nacional, since they're the primary handlers of crimes like murder, terrorism, et al, which is what you'll be charged with, among other things. The only thing you would need going in is a lawyer.
Legally establisning what you are, and what rights you're afforded would be the primary concern. Its highly possible someone will say that, due to your parasite, you're "not human", and therefore not subject to the same legal rights and privileges as any other human being. Hearings at the highest levels of the Courts would need to be held to determine that and a judge will decide the matter.
You're going before a court regardless, you don't get to dictate the terms of your surrender.
But, to address your concerns:
1: If the courts deem that you're afforded the same legal rights as everyone else, then you won't be tortured. Or, at the very least, it'll be illegal for them to do so
2: There is no way in you'll be fed any human flesh. However I'll talk to Eiko. Hips was supposed to have asked her to work on several dietary supplements for you, which when mixed with regular food, should provide you with enough nutrients.
3: If I was going to drag Hips into legal trouble, I would've thrown her ass in jail by now.
4: ....I'll think about what's to be done with the Hands. Given that they are smart enough to communicate, they could and should be standing trial along side you.
Hips did ask me and I have been working on it and I think I came up with something that'll work on pork because of enzyme and amino similarities but beef and chicken are much harder but I am still working on it so trust me I will have something to help with this and make sure that Ramon gets a copy of the forumulation before surrendering so he doesn't starve to death I mean in a world with Umbrella there's probably a bunch of biochemists for hire running around who he could have paid to make that stuff for him am I right oh god I think I need to lie down this is Wednesday right?
Please take a break. Don't overextend or exhert yourself. If anything, we can rely on Gale to figure something out since he's essentially doing the same research.
But I have a pork chop cooking for you with the stuff I came up with and I want you to at least try it so I can see if it works so can I come over when it's done and have you try a little piece and check if it's ok I mean it's really just a first test but the problem is there's only one way to really test it and that's well a live test.
Certainly, certainly. We can test it when we get the chance. I'm perfectly willing to do that.
But I want you to rest first. You've been working like a dog lately, Eiko, and I don't want you to be exhausted. What good would you be to us in a crumpled heap on the floor, after all? *small smile*
1. And what if I'm not dictated those rights? What if I deemed something less than human? What then? Would you label me as something like that?
2. Yes, but now that just brought something else up. Eiko doesn't sound well to me; does she to you? Could you give her time, please? She's been running herself ragged, it would seem.
3. Good to know. Thank you for assuring me of that. As well as leaving her in peace.
4. They can communicate, but they are mentally bound to me. Most of their intelligence, aside from those that insticts would lend in strategizing and combat tactics, they sap from me. If anything, they could better be viewed as tools of mine. While it is not my intention to be holding back any evidence or the like, I must insist they are left alone, at least from the attention of any scientists. I don't want that to happen to anyone, not just my guards. I need to hear that; that me and mine will remain outside any labs and untouched by scientific personnel. All bets are off if that happens because, while I am indeed repenting
( ... )
1. Stop using the fucking 'what if's as an excuse to avoid the law. The only way to find out what will really happen is for you to go through due process.
4. You don't get to insist. Like I said, I'll think about what is to be done with the Hands.
...No one's looking to avoid anything. I was the one who came to you, remember? I'm not hiding, I'm not running. I just am asking questions out of curiousity and, si, I suppose a small amount of trepidation. It's not stalling and it's not looking to back out of this; I just want to know what to expect. I'm sorry that you don't have any ready answers to these queries; I'll stop asking.
And I'll eagerly await your answer regarding my Verdugos, then. I trust you to make a fair decision.
