Weekend of DOOM......
Get to work (Kanata) for 4 to find out your other closer isn't coming in....they call in someone from another store....turns out he needs his moms permission to take the shift....he gets it, shows up...but has only been working for Rogers for 2 months, roughly once or twice a week...lovely...
Shift goes alright....then at 11:58pm when your closing the store, turns out there is no longer a closing key....call the manager, Andrew....Andrew does not drive it will take him 20 minutes to walk to the store....you miss the last bus..you live 20mintues by car away from the store....wonderful
Call Terry...he will come get you... you spend the night at his house on the couch (Bells Corners)...he has to be up at 6am for work...you leave at 6:30am to catch the bus....the sign says it doesn't start running until 7:30....so you start walking.... at 7:00am you are right near the highway, where there are no bus stops....a bus goes by....f$*K!!! you keep walking...you get to a bus stop to check the times...next bus in 30minutes...you keep walking, because it's -17 and you aren't going to stand there and freeze....splendid
You're worried because your boyfriend works until 5am and is probably wondering what the hell happened to you....you arrive at your apartment (Nepean) at 8:00am...freezing, with frost on your eyelashes....your boyfriend isn't home....great
9:00am you're just starting to feel your legs again and there is still no sign of the boy....you sit and you wait....
the day has just begun....
