Angels and Demons

Wrote this today. Like most things it speaks better than I can.

Last night I had a dream that I got my wings
Feathers on my arms
It's a new disease
I might not have much to say but keep listening please

So I pulled feathers from my elbows
It broke the skin
But when you start bleeding that's when things begin
I hope the road to heaven
Ain't as heavy as the highway to sin

I had a fall out with an angel
I hope he forgives
I can't start to die when I'm yet to live
I'm just not ready to go that long way yet
I still have some things I need to forget

Tonight I'll have a dream that I fall off the earth
Whoever said that in dreams you never get hurt
