Arrived in Kuala Lampur, Malysia yesterday and WOW, what a place. We've decided to slum it a little and get the full Malysian feel - we're staying in a small guest house in the heart of the city - and over top of a Reggae club...lol. Lady back-packers get half off their alcohol! lol The markets here are incredible - but somewhat agressive. The food is amazing - all though not necessarily sanitary...lol. The people here are so friendly and the whole feel is great. To be honest, though, I am glad to be with a male here. I went for a walk this morning and was mistaken for a russian hooker everywhere I went. It was annoying and somewhat frightening. Cars were following me, pulling over and trying to get me in. I've decided that my early morning walks will be with the company of my fellow traveller. Lesson learned..lol
We've seen some amazing architecture and incredible Hindu Temples.
Today we are heading to the Batu Caves, and possibly the garden district.
On Monday we will be heading to Boracai Island in the Philippines, where we will be living it up in style, in a beachhouse on the white sand beaches. That way we get a feel for both lifestyles :-)
I'll update as the week progresses
