Through Lack of Inspiration, I Persevere

"Rochester, I really don't think that all soldiers are that bad.  After all, everyone's different and there's good wherever there's evil."

"That's right, Rusty," Rochester said coldly.  "No one is perfect - no one is entirely good or entirely evil.  Don't preach at me like I'm an infant!  Do you think I have some sort of vendetta against every man or woman misguided enough to join this corrupted military?  No!  I oppose the institution.  And I am sorry that some people may get hurt by my actions, but this cause is too great to consider individual safety.  Some sacrifices are unavoidable - and I'm sorry that you cannot understand this, Rusty, but do not chastise me.  I am the leader here - do not forget that."

Rusty looked down, feeling almost frightened.  He had never seen Rochester so angry before.  He swallowed nervously.  Argument was futile; and even though he felt that his point was valid, Rochester made him very nervous - almost cowed.  So Rusty kept his opinion to himself.  "I won't forget, Rochester.  I...  I'm sorry."
