The whole world was silent.
No one could speak; no one could move. Titian's lifeless body lay on the ground, limp and twisted. He was dead - he was gone forever. No one knew what to do. And still, the world was silent.
Until a quiet sobbing reached everyone's ears. Hans knelt on the ground beside Titian's body, crying for his mentor, his protector, his only friend - and the man he had killed. The sight felt sore to the others - raw, like a wound that had never scabbed over. No one knew what they should do - Hans was ignoring them anyway, and no one wanted to intrude on his grief.
Finally, Dierdre stepped towards him. She knelt beside him and after a short, hesitant moment she put her arms around him and held him as he cried. It seemed strange to watch Hans breaking down; he had been strong, unflappable... Sturdy. But seeing him crying, clinging to Dierdre as a child clings to its mother - it was like he was a tree that had been felled.

Yup, that's it. I might have something else later.
