Just got back from the Handsome Furs gig! It's lovely to live this close. ♥
They were incredible (both warm and close & really fucking rough!) and I can't wait for the second album. The new tracks reminded me a lot of The Kills' 'Midnight Boom', but not too much, you know? In a very good way.
I talked to some guy after the gig; he was there because he had been told (three times) that Handsome Furs are a band of someone from Wolfmother. LOOOOOOOOOOOL. I found it absolutely hilarious at that moment.
(For those who are less educated; Handsome Furs is the band of Dan Boeckner, who is also in Wolf Parade, and his wife Alexei Perry)
It's nearing three am and I need to get back to Helsinki in five hours. Sigh. I can never go to sleep right after coming home, no matter how tired I am.
