OK, OK... so they're not apartment pictures--yet. I'm supposed to get my furniture on Aug. 8 (and I'm picking up my new bookcase tomorrow), so expect some Clifton Blvd. shots sometime next week. Also coming next week: Pictures from LOLLAPALOOZA, which is going down this weekend! I am so incredibly excited. Although, at this point, I think I'm more excited about seeing some of my friends than seeing the bands. :) Woo! More on that trip, later. This entry is dedicated to the wonder that is Jacob's Field.
OK, so "wonder" might be pushing it. It's no Wrigley or Fenway as far as character (or crowds) go. But it is a beautiful park with reasonably priced beer and tasty frozen custard. And Grady Sizemore plays there. And I walked up to the ticket counter an hour before the game and was still able to buy a $7 ticket. It cost more to park, people. Amazing.
Anyway, I convinced Scott to leave his apartment (I didn't really have to twist his arm) and hit up the Indians v. Mariners game last Saturday. Although the Indians lost, it was a close game and Grady made two bad-ass diving catches.
Here's a decent view of one half of the field--we were sitting up in the top tier in right field. The building you can see in between the stands is the arena where the Cavs play, if basketball is more your style.
Here's a view of left/center and a smidge of the Cleveland "sky line." There's not really too much more... :P
mmmhmm, that's right
Of course I wore my Cubs hat. Who do you think I am? (I never got around to buying a "B" hat... maybe on my first trip back.)
This one is for Dave.
