It's a little belated, but...

erry Christmas~☆

Here is a celebratory video from John Cleese~
The Night Before Christmas, but not quite as you know it.

What did you do?
I hope you had a lovely time. I had a nice time, even if it wasn't overly Christmassy.
I got to spend Christmas eve with people, so that was important to me and a nice way to spend the time - the IEC Christmas party, I mean.
I ended up staying the whole night and riding home the next morning.
Mostly we just talked, or I sat there understanding a quarter of the group conversation.
On Christmas day I had nabe for dinner with Mion (one of my Korean friends) and a volunteer Japanese family, which was also nice. There was crab.
Ah, crab. I feel like it should taste better, since it takes so much trouble to eat, but....
crayish and lobster taste better and are EASIER.
That said, I do like crab~~!
I gave people lollies and penicls for Christmas.
And for my lucky dip present at the party, I received a most appropriate gift!
A silicone cake-mould thing!!! For baking cakes!
Totally by chance!!!

The other present I received for Christmas was a beer~~

The best present was the snow~~~!
On Christmas day it snowed in Wakayama! This is very rare.
Although actually, the snow didn't make it to the ground, but you could still watch it fall for a little bit, which was nice. It made me very happy.

I heard Perth was brutally hot, at something like 38~40゚C.
Since Christmas eve, Wakayama has been very cold.
Today I have heard fierce wind all day - not so good for my washing TT___TT;;
But I was actually surprised to go outside (to hang said washing) and find that it was actually quite warm today.

I am spending my winter holidays.... mostly in bed, in my dark room like a mole.
There just isn't so much to do, or people to do it with. I will try my best not to be a soggy mop, though, which is what I was yesterday, pathetically drawing adventures that I wasn't having.
Unfortunately, people at Kaikan are either travelling or busy, and the same goes for the Japanese, who are either working or visiting their families at home, since it's the new year period.

It's very hard for me to just call someone and ask to hang out. I did get the nerve to try once or twice, but yes, these people all have lives and friends and things to do, so it wasn't very successful.
But! No, I am not going to be a sulky emo about it, I am going to be reasonable! And positive!
And anyway, drawing adventures that I'm not actually having was kind of fun... There was a hot air balloon and man-eating plants. Maybe I will share it once this arc is resolved....

Other things...
I finally booked my bus and hotel for Tokyo for the Versailles concert! I am very happy, but maybe the reality hasn't hit me, because I don't actually seem all that excited yet....
I'm in Tokyo for three days and two nights, so if anyone has some fun suggestions.....

Ah, I'm sorry there has been so much complaining on this journal. With all my free time, I should probably upload photos or something ( ゚Д゚;;;)
