so yeah the moral of the story is: always wear your glasses!
j. and i decided to go out and buy some stuff from the snack table outside during one of the open division choirs at T.O.C and we just stayed out there until we were able to go back in. We saw haakon and spencer walk out and they run across the lawn. so naturally, j. and i follow them but we have no clue where they went. i look across the street (without my glasses) and i see a green banner above a building and i say to j. "...something..ja...java! it's a just java! maybe they went to go get some coffee." so we cross the street and we look inside and there's a few middle-eastern people in there but no haakon or spencer. we don't think twice and look down the street. we see a carls jr. so naturally, we walk down there. still no haakon and spencer. fearing getting kidnapped or raped...or both...we walked back. as we walked by the "just java" we noticed even more middle eastern people in there. i stop and look at the banner and i'm finally able to clearly read it. i tell j.- "oOOOOooOoOH! This isn't a JUST JAVA! This is HEIDER BABA!" so j. goes "how the hell do you see JAVA in BABA?" and we just crack up. it was hilarious. i guess heidar baba is a middle-eastern restaurant. definately not a run-of-the mill coffee shop.
