Photogramaphone...
In addition to drawings, I also do photography. Two photos that I had kicking around on the ol' HD.
First up:
"Our Glorious Leader." Interpret it any way you want.
Second, a self-portrait with Naomi Watts.
Both of these were taken from the TV. I was really fascinated with using television in photography, and I did a lot of experimenting with timing, as well as creating multiple layers using a flash. I also liked the texture that scanlines give you, though I don't think they are that apparent in these scans. They were very prominent in the original prints. Some people ask if these were photoshopped to get the transparency effects. The answer is no. The only photoshopping I did on these images was level tweaking.
Anyhoo, I probably will post more of them in the future, but for now, this journal is on hiatus until after my gallery show (November 4th).
