I've seen a few too many fucked up movies lately, thanks to my better half, to not blog about it.
There's been Death Note 1 and 2, a Japanese horror/ psych thriller about a notebook of death that falls into the hands of a college student by the name of Light. Armed with the power to kill baddies by writing their names in a notebook he wreaks havoc but of course his father happens to head the team of investigators out to catch "Kira" (Light). If only I had such powers. I did enjoy this film a lot. Highly recommended.
More Japanese cinema but this time in the form of Big Man Japan or Dai Nipponjin a mockumentary about a superhero down on his luck. This film has a shit-tonne of "what the fuck did I just see??" unless you're used to seeing characters like Stretchy Baddie with a combover who stomps around the town, uproots buildings with his rubber band arms and lays his eggs via a spear that sticks out of his butt.

Moving along to Germany...
Tonight I saw it all. I'm sure there was more to Otto; or Up With Dead People but what sticks in my mind is gay zombie porn. 'Nuff said.
And I don't think this counts as German cinema but it's fekkin hilarious:
