Homecoming 2005
Well, yesterday was wonderful in some ways and not so good in others. I'll start from the beginning.
the parade went well. I felt beautiful and happy and was really excited that my mom was there to see. I loved my car despite everything. It was really a lot of fun. I was just sad that the sophomores beat us, but what can you do.
I went and got ready at Dani's house. That was fun except that everyone was supposed to come, but no one came except Brittnee and she came at the last minute. I had a few minor crisis and hyperventilated a couple times but my hair and make up turned out really nice.
Well Ryan did show up, but he was late. He said he was going to try and match me but it didn't end up working out. But he didn't look like he had done much trying either. It took me like 3 hours to get ready. He definitely got ready in 5 minutes, if not on the way to Lecanto. He didn't shave, or tie his tie, or tuck in his shirt, or gel his hair....but he did still look gorgeous. I just wish i was worth a little effort to him. He ended up leaving the game when I had to go out to the field and wasn't allowed back in so he missed the crowning...
Lindsey won and i am very happy for her, so with that being said i do NOT want to hear anything else about it, i do not want people to say i have said anything bad, or there to be any drama around the situation whatsoever. I am very happy for her because she is one of my best friends and a very sweet person. she deserves it.
The dance: Ryan didn't wanna dance, he didn't like any of the songs, and he was worried about Brittnee because she was "flying solo". Between every song he dragged me outside to look for her. then he sat on his phone for 30 minutes talking to a girl from georgia. i went inside because i was tired of waiting for him and when i came back he was taking pictures with Brittnee. then he pushed me inside to dance with me because it was a slow song, just to leave as soon as it was over. yep, he left halfway through the dance. brittnee also left early, and she was supposed to be my ride home. but come to find out, she had asked ryan to take me home and he said he would. so he left early and stranded. so, i am done. i am done caring, calling and being put in his games. i am so much better than that and i know it. he has served his purpose and therefore i am done trying.
i had a lot of fun after ryan left. i danced with my friends and was happy. then, katie and i went to denny's together where everyone asked me if i was homecoming queen because i forgot to take off my sash. oddly enough it didn't bother me.
so, it was a fairly eventful night. i had hoped i would have fonder memories of my senior homecoming but hopefully, old age will do me kind and my memory will slip and give me wonderful memories. yay for being old and forgetting everything!! But i really did have a more of a good night than a bad night so i will let the good overcome the bad and say it was a wonderful night.
