Why, hello there, Infinity!  It's been quite a while since a certain black cat was seen wandering around.  I wonder where he could be.

If you're lucky enough, you can hear a familiar muffled voice ringing out:

"LET ME OUT OF HERE!!!"

Hm.  It seems Thackery has gotten himself trapped inside a humane kitty trap.  He's currently pacing back and forth

**Thackery pauses from biting at the bars to blink his eyes and glances up slightly**

I...van?

[indignantly] Hey, who put you in a cage? [He crouches down and starts pulling and pushing at the trap mechanism.] Hang on. I'll get you out of there.

I don't know! I was asleep one minute and the next, I'm in here!

[After a bit of fumbling, Ivan is able to open the cage and free the cat.] You all right?

How did I get in that cage?

**Thackery hisses at the cage, swipes at it with a clawed paw, jumps about a mile high when it makes a clanging sound at the sound of the hit**

I don't know. I just got here. [And it is definitely, positively not his fault in any way.] Maybe someone was playing a prank on you.

**Thackery is now gluing himself to Ivan's leg, hissing at the cage**

Ivan ruffles the fur on the cat's head. "No one will put you in a cage while I'm around," he promises.

Thackery is now a deeply purring engine, as he leans into the ruffling of his head fur.

"I'm glad." Thackery purrs deeply, as he leans against the leg of the human gently.

More petting and head-scritching follows. It's nice to be appreciated by someone, even if it's only a cat.

"Anything happen while I was gone?" he asks carelessly.

"You mean OTHER than being trapped in a cage?" Thackery purred happily, as he started to knead the grounds under his paws gently.

"Well, yeah." Ivan eyes the cage warily. He wouldn't like to be put in there himself, and considering some of the things that had happened here, it was not entirely out of the question. "Were you in there for long?"

[mangy_feline]

"Not really." Thackery said, hissing at the cage, as he glanced up at Ivan. "...all I remember is being asleep one minute and the next waking up with bars around me. Not at all fun, seeing as how I don't think I did anything."

"Let's go somewhere else," Ivan suggests. The cat will probably be in a better mood if he's not staring at the cage. He gives Binx's head another scritch.

That sounds like a good idea to me.
