Miguel's first reaction upon finding himself in an unfamiliar environment so different to his own home is to check for two things.
1. Mandolin.
2. Tulio.
Whilst his partner-in-crime is nowhere to be seen, he takes comfort when his hand comes into contact with the familiar, battered wood of his much-loved instrument. Picking up the mandolin by its sleek, wooden neck, he begins to walk at a slow pace down one of the first alleys he sees, confused, but propelled forward by his unquenchable sense of adventure.
