[In one particular part of Infinity, there were quite a few butchered zombies. In the middle of the carnage was the Shadow Naoto. It wiped a little of the blood and guts off its face, looking thoughtful. One of the zombie hands by it twitched, and it stabbed it down without looking at it]

[... Orz. She arches an eyebrow at the carnage.]

You did quite a number on them.

They were fascinating. [An almost childlike glee entered its eyes as it looked up at her] Despite being dead, being human, they all had... differences.

... [She can't help a small grimace that crosses her face. Her Shadow was such a sadist...] How do you mean?

[junkfloodin]

Look at this one. [It almost clinically picks up one mutilated zombie] Dead, and human. It has two eyes, two legs, the same organs... except this one was male. Now this one... [It picks up the one its hand it had stabbed] Male as well, but not the same. Do you see?

[seeksonlytruth]

[She tilts her head slightly.] Ah, I see. Of course they are not the same. They are individuals. Although they may have the same basic parts they are not the same person.

[junkfloodin]

[Something flickers in its eye] Individuals.

[seeksonlytruth]

Yes. Each human is an individual. No two persons are ever exactly alike.

[junkfloodin]

And what of these two? [Zombie twins] If otherwise, I would say a person and its Shadow. But they are human, or were. Individuals. Unlike you and I.

[seeksonlytruth]

[Glances] Twins. It is an anomaly that happens within the womb when two embryos split. Although they will have the same appearance and genetic make up, they are not the same individuals. Appearance and genes alone is not what makes an individual. Personalities and personal tastes also play a factor and no two people have the exact same.

[junkfloodin]

[There's a sudden anger now in its voice] They are the same. Genetics dictates they are the same. The egg, the sperm, everything that built these two was exactly the same, and yet they are allowed to be different.

[seeksonlytruth]

[She shifts a little uncomfortably.]

No. They are not the same.

[junkfloodin]

Then what allows them to be different? To be seen as different? Under the slides, they are the same! Same, like you and I!

[seeksonlytruth]

[Her voice goes suddenly cold.] Because they are human and all humans are different. You are not human. You are a Shadow and you would not exist without me.

[junkfloodin]

[It stomps its foot] It's not fair!

[seeksonlytruth]

[She scowls at its childish behavior.] Life isn't fair.

[junkfloodin]

Humans can be their own self! It's not fair! [It starts crying into its sleeves, a light sniffling unlike the overwrought crocodile tears]
