[Hei's slowly starting to get used to how open the city is. As free from the Syndicate as he could be, he wasn't worried very much at all about himself. He's been worried about his friend who got left behind, whose life was in danger

I know you won't leave. [Where else could she go? Out of their entire unit, it was just the two of them. From here, he started to think. This city didn't have any other Contractors trying to hunt them. There was no Syndicate... So, maybe they didn't need to go back to their original world.
The Syndicate can believe they were dead. They wouldn't care, right? Yin and Hei could just live together in his apartment in this city. Sure, it had its dangers, but it wasn't quite as dangerous as it was back there...
But he mustn't forget; right now, Erika wanted to go back to her home. As Li, the game face had to stay on.]
We'll see about finding a pilot and aircraft in a little while, Erika. [He couldn't even begin to think if time in flowed the same here as it did back at their world...but Yin seemed hungry. So it must have been at least a while for her, if not a week.]
I can hardly wait as well. It'll be like a little celebration!

I'm not in a hurry...I should look around a bit, maybe I can find a spaceship, you know, if this town is infinite we must reach light speed if we want to go back where we came from. And maybe I find some...interesting things to get. Let's meet here tomorrow evening, 'kay? Or just tell the pilot i want to meet him here. Baibai, Yin, thanks for the meal...Hei-kun
[waves and walks away mumbling about damned cellphones and signals and deaf idol otakus]

He filed away most of what she said upon leaving, except for the muttering. He wasn't sure if taking a plane out of here would be easy, let alone getting in touch with a pilot he remembered hearing about. ...Something about a sky pirate? Well, there had to be someone better than a pirate. Because he doesn't want anyone harming Yin.]
[He turns to Yin.] Need anything else? Everything is for free here. There seems to be no shortage of everything.
[Here comes the Manager guy again, coming to check on them.] Oh, another visitor? [Starts looking around him.] Where's the other girl, who was just here? She left?
[Hei nods, flowing back into the alias of Li...unless Yin happens to spill his true name in front of him too.] Yeah, she just did.
[Manager says;] Ah well... [He picks up his plates and the chopsticks Erika was using.]

[Yin waits for the Manager let them alone]
Are we still in danger?

Quite possible.
[She doesn't have to lower her voice, it can be hardly heard anyways]
We'll be chased again.
I'm tired.
[Yin slowly stands up and searches for the exit]

He's guiding her toward the way he came in.] I have an apartment with a bed... It's a bit of a trip. But if you're too tired to walk, I'll carry you.
[DIES with giggle fits at the image of Hei giving Yin a piggy-back ride all the way to their new home!] XDDD Do it Hei! Doooo iiiiit!
Hei goes: B| Shut up and go eat lunch. You're hungry, aren't you?
Be back in a little while. ^^

Tired of being weak and protected. Tired of making you tired.
[She looks back at Hei as she stops under a street lamp like a ghost of a broken glass statue, and its almost like she'd see the man]
My shoes stayed at our world, but I can walk.
Reply
[Hei nods, despite she can't see that.] I understand. [His hand takes a hold of hers.] We'd better be careful, anyway, since this entire city is often unpredictable.
[Protective Hei is still protective, no matter what Yin says. Can't help it. He lost her once, and he's not intending for that to happen again.]

[Yin gently touches Hei's hand]
I told you I wouldn't leave you.
I won't die.
[Sound of easy footsteps echoing between the walls as if they were raindrops]
Hei.

[He starts to lead her down the sidewalk. Since Yin kept persisting that she would be fine, Hei decided to stop fussing over her. Yes, she knows her limits as well as he does, but she's not worried. At all.
Hei remained attentive when he heard Yin call his name.]
Yes?

[Yin bows her head and squeezes Hei's hand
Take me home.

Believe me, when I say I tried looking for you ever since I came. I was worried, and feared that you were killed. I-- I too, was lonely. [Hei squeezes her hand in return, and they resume walking]
I also felt powerless, but...I never gave up hope. I somehow knew that this place would find you. All the while, I've been trying to find the exit. [steers her gradually to take a left in their walk]
It's safe to say my search is done. We're together--and we have someplace to stay... I doubt the Syndicate will find us here, but I can never be sure. I can't say I trust this...whatever it is, but at least we'll have the upper hand. So far, I haven't seen any Contractors around. As far as I know, I'm the only one.
[He doesn't feel very assured as he tries to assure Yin that everything was going to be alright. What's the battle or escape plan? He's not sure what it is. Yet, the determination is there to not let her feel so helpless and scared again.]

I'm so selfish. I shouldn't tell you about this.
[Yin's hand trembles as she notices how deeply she hurt her only friend. ]
Don't you want to kneel down while you're apologizing?
[Her voice keeps it's silent wind-in-the willows tone]
I just...tried to be funny.
Hei, I'll learn to laugh, and protect myself, and being your partner, but don't blame yourself and don't be so sad and worried because of me. Please.

[Hei moves his arm to around her shoulders as he continues to lead. He smiles a little. It'll take his heart some time to heal though.]
I actually wasn't thinking of kneeling. And yes, you did try... [He remembers what Amber said about not only the Contractors evolving, but the Dolls too. Wow, Yin was evolving so fast that it amazed him. Or maybe it was because she was just so tired and upset... Hard to say.]
It's not too much farther now. [He means their destination of course.]

[Dolls usually doesn't cry, so Yin doesn't make such an embarrassingly emotional thing, just leans towards Hei, carefully, like she was afraid of hurting the man]
Did we go home like this in the past?
