(Red Robin manifests on a city rooftop right after
this, but beware of spoilers)
[ Enter: Infinity. Tim Wayne's return to Gotham ended when his arrival here began. Even across the event horizon, he calculated regardless -- assessing just what was necessary to bring down a madman who would shower Gotham, and the Batman legacy, with despair. So aware was he of the gravity of his situation, that he almost forgot his spontaneous transition from New Earth to... ]
God dammit.
[ In a flush of fury, Tim dropped his communicator on the rooftop floor, and knelt down. Hindsight was finally 20/20, but for once, that wasn't rewarding. He grunted, punched the ground. This frustration wasn't new; it was familiar, in fact. But while he had come to accept it's presence, he wasn't going to submit to it. Slowly, but surely he regained composure, muttering curses and angry phrases to himself at first. Eventually he stood up, allowing the wind to take command of his cape. With enough minutes spent comprehending his dilemma, shame, desperation, and fear became conviction, tenacity, and valor. Tim donned his cowl and Red Robin was back. He paced across the rooftop to stand on a gargoyle at the corner, and felt lucky to be viewing the Infinity City skyline. ]
Well whadd'ya know, I finally get a good view of the alternate earth I'm teleported to. Normally, it wasn't supposed to happen this way.
[ Almost chuckling ironically, he acknowledged the odds before him. Already he contemplated where to gather resources for his 'great escape' from this random hellhole. ]
Life is kind to me.
