Merlin Season 3 Reactions (3x4-3x13)
Okay, I'm missing notes for quite a few episodes... I think the first two missing ones were written not typed, but I'm afraid I overwrought some of the others... I'll figure out and update this when I can.
3x04 Gwaine
- The sun is very bright... what is this foreshadowing?
- Heck yeah Colin is the most beautiful looking
- Angry band of townsfolk!
- Hey Gawaine, how's it hangin' - DRUKEN TAVERN FIGHT!
- Merlin gets an +1 increase in healing.
- This show really does have a quota for shirtless men.
- Awww poor old guy, just trying to make end's meet.
- Gwen, don't you have enough men?
- I really like how people have a grudge against Arthur now, not Uther. TRANSITIONS!
- On no! They have Merlin's blood!
- Merlin seriously needs an invisibility cloak, he'd love it so much.
- Nooo, let the stone be, just take the sword.
- Hey look, Uther IS in this episode.
- All these banished future knights.
- Strange this Gawaine-Merlin bonding... doubt they ever knew each other that well in any text.
- Gweewwwen stop; isn't Arthur enough?
- I know that he brought in a wrapped sword, but my mind instantly thought: Firebolt.
- Oh yeah, Morgana is still around and evil and stuff.
- I deem this a rather dangerous athletic engagement

3x05 The Crystal Cave
- Intense running.
- Oh these wonderful Kirk/Spock moments
- I love how Merlin has leveled up in magic detection. +5 increase in perception.
- Yeah, Arthur is sort of dead. That was such a good shot though, you have to respect a shot like that, especially if you play as a ranger like myself.
- Use your magic healing arts, please.
- Hmmm someone is about to find out about Merlin, but the question is whom?
- OBI WAN KNOBE!
- Actually when I see this old guy I instantly think Merlin, but that obviously can't be...
- Stop questioning Obi Wan, Merlin, don't you know that he is your obi wan?
- HOLY CRAP OLD MERLIN. AHHH! It wasn't that bad, but more design should have been put into it.

- This crystal place reminds me so much of the Fortress of Solitude.

- What's with this beauty in the beast-esque fairy tale intro... ah, I see because there's a fairy
- I'm guessing this is going to be like shrek- HOLY CRAP IT'S THE HEAD OF HUFFLEPUFF!!!!
- I bet professor sprout is a fairy... OR A MANDRAKE
- Haha this hug when they get back from riding
- And now she's eating a frog... sucks to be possessed by a fairy your whole life
- Wait she is a frog, but she fed the girl a frog.... cannibalism o.O
- "she likes you.... now that is disgusting."
- Hmmm what is Morgana up to...
- Yay, Gwin has acting time
- It really sucks how much he wants to be with Gwin, how much they'll have to overcome to be together, only to have her betray Arthur for Lancelot
- I forgot that he leveled up and acquired that staff
- Lawl, they way Guises ran away
- Bombarda Maxima!
- Maybe Merlin shouldn't be walking around in public with that staff
- He exterminated her into pixie dust... yeah he loves this staff too much, as do we all with new encounter powers

3x07 The Castle of Fyrien
- Seriously stop with the Morgana grins
- Yay, it's a Gwin episode, she gets to act in things besides shipping scenes
- Haha. Arthur more than overindulged a bit on the sniffing there, freaking Gryffindors
- I love the Merlin/Gwin friendship, reminds me a lot of Harry/Hermione. Yay for BFFs
- A shot of the moon, which means Buffy time... and confirmed
- Hmmm she didn't mention that Merlin was coming too, only Morguese is suspicious of him not Morgana
- Oh crap, Morgana is coming, with her darker makeup and riding pants
- Merlin is totally shipping Arthur and Gwin
- "I don't know maybe there are wolves in these woods" "oh yeah, the wolves."
- Secret tunnel, through the mountain
- Of all the spells, Merlin pants the guy. And it was awkward, for everyone.
- Oh yeah, only Merlin knew about Morguese
- Gwin's brother is going to be a regular now. cool beans
- PREVIEW: WARWICK IS IN THE NEXT EPISODE.. .actually the next episode looks pretty boss

- I think every episode this season has started with Arthur without his shirt on. What is this, Quantum Leap; do they have a quota?
- Uther is so gonna die this season.
- I love this episode already. We're going after a magic golden trident!
- MMMM I REALLY WANT BREAD.
- HMMM CAPS lock was on in that last comment
- I'd love for Gwen to find out that Morgana is evil. She's the closest to her and it be great for her character.
-The Perilous Lands are Jurassic Park. Arthur Pendragon vs Dinosaurs... they did it Doctor Who, I don't see why not here (the dinosaurs where in London, not their own time, and yes, that is the next episode of DW that I will watch By the time of posting this I have watched the Dinosaurs Invade London)
- Seriously, a voodoo doll, a bit medieval of you isn't it.. har har... oh god I've been in this lab for too long (13 hours)
- If I were Arthur, I would have noticed the glowing bracelet on my wrist in the dark
- Wasn't expecting Gawiane to come back so soon. Weird that I'm about to start reading Tolkien's take on Gawiane and the Green Knight NOTE: Finished reading it yesterday
- Now the perilous lands look Hyrule, oh crap, Ganon's tower is on the map.
- WARWICK! (both heads of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were in this season; I demand Alan Rickman and Maggie Smith to star in Series 4)
- I was wanting him to say strength and wisdom, alas.
- Gwen gets a +2 for stealth
- I was about to say that Merlin was magic and Gawaine was strength, but Warwick has taken care of it.
- Dinosaur? Nah it's probably just Fawkes... or dragonthings
- The door closed behind in Ganon's Tower, THIS IS ZEDLA =D
-Wow that was a really good scene, and Arthur just rolls in captain Kirk style and goes "Oh! Look what I found." and holds up the Trident. Once again. Show. Love.
- Preview: Manicore! We never got to see those in HP!

- No Neville, don't wear the ring, none of that magical bling-bling
- Arthur is yelling like such a baby.
- "People have died in this tournament".... heeeeeee
- Yay for Indiana Jones moments
- And the ring betrayed Neville...
- Uther: "Sorcerey." It's funny everytime he says it. He's always surprised but acts like he knew it all along.
- Oh crap, he totally killed that guy...

- Wow this turn in the fight is so well directed, and the music. I love when my shows go there.
- Is he going to tell him... oh crap he is. Neville better not betray him.
- Neville tears D=
- Neville brings up a very valid point. The only reason why Merlin defends Camelot, is because he knows what Arthur will become. The lines between the good guys and bad guys isn't clear in this show, and that's great.
- I love how Merlin's speech/language is evolving towards who he will become.
- He's truly ready to be King? Are these your dying words?
- Preview: Meanwhile, back in the Slytherin common room. Gwin's brother!
EDIT: HOLD THE PHONE. I DIDN'T REALIZE UNTIL TOW DAYS AFTER, WHEN MY ROOMMATE INFORMED ME, THAT NEVILLE IS IN FACT DUDLEY (HARRY MELING). I guess I haven't seen him properly since Order of the Phoenix, and who knows how long ago those particular shots were filmed. I remember seeing a picture him a year or two ago, and was shocked by his radical change in appearance, but ahhhhh. It's great to see him acting; I didn't know he was going to continue to pursue BUT BUT... GUYS. THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING. MERLIN-DUDLY'S FATHER DIDN'T LIKE MAGIC. DUDLEY GOT MAGIC BUT AT A LATER AGE!!! dhdkgjeaojehrh (for those of you who don't know, Jo was originally going to have a character develop magic later in life, as opposed to just in time for Hogwarts, and everyone theorized that it'd be Dudley even though that would have never worked. The idea was scraped and we never found out who Jo had in mind).
3x12 The Coming of Arthur (Part 1)
- Wait a sec… episode 12… a two parter… is this the finale?!?!?!
- The title of this episode makes my theory senses tingle.. but Uther will probably live for the sake of continuing the show
- Leader of the red shirt knights gets a role, yay
- Cup of Life = holy grail or other cup?
- Awww adorable james bradely smile daaaww; I bet that's an icon already
- So much Gawaine time in this season. Lancelot only has one episode per season. Hmmm maybe he'll become a regular.
- Here's the cup. Just like that? Just like that.
- "I'll take my chances thanks" heeee Harry Potter
- Telepathic moment dodedodo
- Seriously he's a duel swordsmen, give him a fight scene already
- Arthur keeps getting shot by arrows this season.
- Accio cup! He should know a good summoning spell by now.
- Undying armies, undead armies, Morquese likes her zombies
- She died before he got to use his duel swords, he only used one. Let down.
- Undead ninjas on horses vs knights… unbalanced fight
- Run away, run away -hums spamalot tunes-
- Trogdor! Burning the thatched root cottages! ... yeah my mind, folks
- Gwin's brother! This is turning into a boy's club finale. Knights of the Round table -more spamalot-
- Arthur is getting bonus stealth points for being within five squares of Merlin
- Morgana revealed! But not her magic side, only her evil side.

3x13 The Coming of Arthur (Part 2)
- All the red shirts are going to die
- That was a good evil move, shooting the faceless extras
- Uther is a sad sad dad
- Are they not going to reveal that Morgana has magic... she's in charge, so why doesn't she
- Gwin needs to be an awesome spy
- Morgana and her potions
- Lady of the lake!
- Eventually Arthur isn't going to want to give this sword back, but whatever they're just postponing the inevitable
- Epic shot of Arthurian proportions!
- Oh no, it's Lancelot; the triangle of doom
- Percival... I can't remember if he's somebody or not
- Round table! and the knights are all there already. OMG THEY'RE GOING TO SIT DOWN AT THE TABLE!
- Knighting! but of course Merlin doesn't get knighted

- Did Morguese just die? I don't know, it was kind of vague.

Series 4 won't air until January 2012.... NOOOOOOOOO. The reason? Well, a little show Doctor Who will be on in both the Spring and Fall next because they're dividing Series 6 into two parts, and Merlin and Doctor Who have the same time slot, so Merlin is the one getting bumped, since it won't be ready to air in the summer. This gives those of you who have not watched the show plenty of time to catch up though.
