Washington strongly condemns the so called "victory" against the team USA claimed by the Russian national ice hockey team last Monday in Minsk

"The last Monday game did not have anything to do with ice hockey. In the 21 century, one cannot keep playing ice hockey as if we were still in the 1980-s", US State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said at the beginning of today's briefing before explaining in detail the view of the US Department of State on the incident in Minsk.

Last night in Minsk, imperial ambitions of the Russian team were openly put on display in every aspect of the game, which brought an eery reminder of the worst Soviet cold war ice hockey habits: a dirty 'puck carousel' shoved by the Russians into the US goal while blocking most of the democratic pucks from entering the Russian goal. This was a clear attempt to revise the existing status quo, and it certainly poses a grave threat to the European and transatlantic security.

Having pointed this out, Psaki went on to clarify that although she did not know the meaning of the term 'puck carousel', she would be convinced that it must be implying something horrible and likely violating the basic human rights, as she was told that this expression was put in the text to outline explicitly the unacceptable behavior of the Russian players. This conclusion may be further supported by Putin's recent participation in a match of the so called "Night Hockey League" (NHL) in which he also had scored six goals one after the other.

This remarkable coincidence sheds more light on Putin's gruesome and hideous plot, leaving no doubt that the whole chain of events was carefully planned by Russia right from the beginning of the Minsk tournament. The severity of the whole affair  prompted President Obama to express his deep concern about the outcome of the Monday's match and to stress that "Russia is now already not only on the wrong side of history but also on the wrong side of geography, physics, and physical education."

According to Ms. Psaki, a decision to impose economic sanctions against all players of the Russian team has been prepared overnight at Obama's request. "Together with our European partners from the whole world, we have decided on immediate introduction of broad and stringent sanctions against all persons directly responsible for the Minsk incident," quoted Psaki Obama's words. "Russia will pay dearly for this."

In another difficult act, a decision has also been made to freeze all discount cards provided to the Russian team players by major sport outlets including those of 'Reebok', 'Nike', and 'Adidas' -- this measure will remain active until the next seasonal sales. "All those who have been instrumented to satisfy Russia's growing imperial ambitions must understand that they will not be left in peace,' stressed Psaki.
As a side note to this assertion, Ms. Psaki specifically referred to Alexander Ovechkin, the Russian team player who recently shaved off his beard, raising daunting suspicion that this might have been a defiant act of protest against the latest Eurovision song contest. "This would clearly constitute an illegal protest against the common European values and against the European choice. You cannot, in the 21 century, simply try and shave off your beard whenever you are merely discontent with something! This is unacceptable, and the beard must be grown back immediately", concluded Ms. Psaki.
