So, in my two days furiously crocheting dozens of Granny Squares I ended up watching a TON of gay rom-coms, coming-of-age-movies and the likes. So I decided to compile a list! And this is just the movies I watched in the span of a couple of days.
Joana's rec list of gay-themed movies to watch on a weekend while crafting.
Crack:
But I'm a Cheerleader - awesome and like I needed any more fuel for my Clea DuVall's fantasies.
Another Gay Movie - awful, but purposely so (it's an American Pie spoof, after all) and Jarod/Griff's storyline is adorable.
Eating Out - terrible, but the phone-sex scene is of the screaming-holy-shit-and-humping-the-air-type-of-hot variety.
Rom-com:
Trick - sweet, a bit campy, but if you don't go aww at the end you have no soul.
Beautiful Thing - adorable.
Boy Culture - *rolls around in it* perfect rom-com is perfect, just saying.
Get Real - cliched but cute.
Romance:
Shelter - So why hasn't any SPN AUs been written about this movie? Zach IS Dean.
Weekend - amazingly well-written and acted. A bit European-Film-Festival-artsy-type of movie, which I realize is not everyone's cup of tea, but I loved it.
Save Me - very smart and what a satisfying ending!
Strapped - loved it! Gritty, smart, philosophical, honest, slightly trippy and for a movie that starts so jaded, the REALLY romantic ending is a surprise, but a surprise you find out you wanted.
Rock Haven - I've seen porn movies with better actors, cinematography and dialogue. Just NO.
That's a lot of movies!
