Total Eclipse of My Heart by The Dan Band
lol, no you only THINK you have this song. holy eff I love this version. "Every now and then I get a little bit terrified, I see the fucking look in your eyes" [...] "fucking every now and then I fall apart~~~" haha ♥
Morning Star by Tim
I think this is the first Christian song that's sneaked into my library. and crud I love it. Tim is Korean-American from Philadelphia, flew to seoul when he was 20, and REALLY talented. His voice is so smooooooth and beautiful ♥. Think Josh Groban without all of the operatic crap and more just .. chill pop singer. totally awesome song. really clean vocal line, simple piano accompaniment.
Now That She's Gone by JJ Lin
只對你說 by JJ Lin
lol, JJ Lin is referenced at
wiki as one of the Four Heavenly Kings of mandarin-pop, along with David Tao, Jay Chou and Wang Lee Hom. I ... cannot disagree with this =P. The first song is totally pop (in the like 90's boyband way), and the chorus is all 'I'm like a song without a soul now that she's gone' - really, really cute. The second song is must. Actually. It's probably JJ's most amajing song EVER. EVER. hlajshfa. THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE. just trust. it's that amajing.
수천번 잠들고 깨어나도 by J
I don't think before this I really enjoyed chicks singing. but J's voice is really really clear and effortless and soothing. ...lol okay I'm not going to lie, she's mostly study music for me. very ballad-y and ... pop (i see a recurring theme ^^)
영웅개인기 by Kim Jaejoong
yep, kim jaejoong of dbsk. As endlessly (and adorably) ditzy as he nay be, the boy can sing D:. The original song is apparently a korean classic by Emerald Castle =O, and a rock ballad in the truest sense of the phrase. er, beware the fangirls screaming - it's a perf rip D:. The lyrics are really touching too if you care to look them up.
Lydia by 飛兒樂團 F.I.R.
F.I.R. is a mando rock/pop band, and apparently the girl who sings is really hot. lol. Lydia is ridiculously catchy, and just fricken hardcore. It's one of those songs that are just ... good songs. Well written, well arranged, well suited to the artist. IMPOSSIBLE TO DISLIKE LA!
飄著 by Stefanie Sun
This is my favorite song of hers yet (and also my first). Actually I don't think I've met anyone who dislikes Stefanie Sun. She and this song are very different from all the other sort of mellow cpop stuff that can't be described as anything other than CHINESE FRICKEN POP in that she's more rock/pop like F.I.R. ... and um, this is song can pretty much be described just by 'awesome' ^^
aaand I'll finish with some David Tao
沙灘+SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW by David Tao
I was at Market Village on friday and Jacky Cheung was there promoting his concert date. And I think he was adjucating a singing competition organized by the radio station that was hosting the event, and this one guy sang this song. He was so bloody ridiculously good and solid and had such ridiculous mic control *-*. My future husband will be able to sing *nods*. The guy at the mall did it better than david tao does though, I have to say D:. still ♥♥. this is one of those showboat songs that employ the excuse 'passion' for it's ridiculousness =P
... lol that took really long ;___;
I haven't needed to html like that in a while >__<.
(smack me if anything stretches your browser or something)
MKAY. LISTEN TO SOME OF THE SONGS PLEASE.
la ♥z.
