One of my writers gives me an Amazon e-gift every Christmas, and this year I used it to order the latest cookbook from Thomas Keller since it's homestyle cooking. The book is just gorgeous, and I'm so glad to own it. Even if I never make anything out of it, which is highly unlikely, I'm glad I have it. It's really a coffee-table book (that size, too), which is weird, since it's a cookbook, but also kind of cool. There are several vegetable recipes that really appeal to me, which is perfect since S is now a pescetarian. Being from Thomas Keller, these are not the type of recipes you can whip up on a weeknight after work, of course, but I'm willing to spend some time on a weekend making something fairly complex if the end product is fabulous.
