Opperation Miami U complete
Well this was a toughy but it's over!!!!!! I did pretty good. I played 2x as much music here than I did last week. I did a great job on everything untill I got to the 2nd page of the 2nd song and I just tanked it for like 3 lines. Ughhhhh. I was able to recover quickly and the rest of the audition went flawless BUT I feel like that one part left a stain on my package. The flute professor seemed really interested in me but I guess I'll find out mid march. If I had to rate my performance I'd say 90. Michigan state was about a 96. But in a lot of ways this audition was better. I showed great tone & musicality. Is showed in my playing what I can do and why I love music and that is really important. I wrote the flute professor a thank you note and all I can do is hope for the best. It's amazing here but it's like 40k a year. Who can afford that?! Well I'm not ruling out anything because I might not even get in. On a lighter note it only gets to like 65 in the winter! It's beautiful here and the campus is like a resort! Love it! But if you are wondering YES I had a good audition. I was not flawless but it was great. The M.A flute in the audition said "you look flawless"! She was so nice!
