giving up the green

tea, that is. I'll still drink it once in a while, but it's not going to be my main tea for awhile. Not until I start gaining weight again. I weigh 117. When I got married (in 1976), I weighed 114. The next year, Jen was born. After which I got back down to 127. Over the years, weight crept to 134 and occasionally to 144 (at which time, I felt heavy and started cutting out indulgences until I was a comfortable 134-ish again.)

But at no time, after reaching 134, did I ever dip below that weight. Until this spring. I made some diet changes at that time, but I know that didn't do it. So, as of now, I'm blaming it on green tea. And see if I begin to gain again. If I get up around 125 to 130, I'm going to call that good and then sparingly add green tea again.

Green tea may not be the culprit at all. But if all these people are drinking it on purpose to lose weight and my tea habit is 6 pints a day.... well?

so I got some camomile, peppermint, red clover, and a breakfast chai -- I'll drink those. And sometimes just a bit of honey with cinnamon and call it tea. Also, I got some organic, pure cocoa. If you ignore the directions on the back (which calls for milk) and make it with water and sweeten with honey and add a bit of red pepper and/or cinnamon, oooooeeee! It's good. And moderation, of course.
